The Longleigh Foundation is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This privacy statement sets out how Longleigh uses and protects any information that you give when you use this website. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. Your information will not be passed to third parties without your consent, except as detailed below.  We may change this statement from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This privacy statement is effective from 1st January 2017.

What we collect

We may collect the following information:

  • Name
  • Contact information including email address
  • Demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests
  • Other information relevant to customer surveys and/or services

If you are applying for funding or for any form of grant, you will be asked to provide information, which we believe, is necessary for us to verify and assess your application. 

For project grants, this will include, but is not limited to, contact information of the applicant, together with detailed information about the project.

For grants for individuals (e.g. Hardship grants), this will include, but is not limited to, contact information, household information, details of income and expenditure, and benefits claimed, reasons for needing the grant, what the grant will be spent on 

For these purposes, we will:

  • contact any referee whom you have identified and share this information with them
  • share the information you have provided with Stonewater, if you reside in a Stonewater property.

and it is a term of your application that you consent to such data being shared with them.  If you are a Stonewater resident, we shall also ask Stonewater to provide us with any data about you in its possession, which we reasonably believe, is relevant to the consideration of your application, and it is a term of your application that you also consent to Stonewater sharing such data with us.

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • to process applications for grants
  • Internal record keeping;
  • We may use the information to improve our services;
  • We may periodically send promotional emails about new services or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided;
  • Verifying and assessing funding applications;
  • From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, text, fax or mail. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.

We shall not retain your data for longer than necessary for our legitimate commercial interests.
