Each year we set aside £25,000 to support Stonewater Residents who are experiencing short-term hardship or crisis situations.
In order to apply for Hardship Funding, you will need to meet the following criteria:
The maximum you can apply for is £500.
Grants are aimed at supporting people with short-term problems, or at crisis points in their lives, here are some examples:
All applicants for Hardship funding require a reference from a Stonewater member of staff. This may be a Tenancy Services Officer, Support Worker, Income Officer or Retirement Living Officer.
If you do not know an individual member of staff who can provide you with a reference, please contact the Stonewater Contact Centre in order to find out who may be able to help you.
Please discuss your application with your referee – you will be asked to give their details in the application process, and we will contact them to find out if they support your application.
You will need to upload important documentation so that we can process your application:
In most instances we make all grant awards in gift cards/vouchers, or by purchasing goods (e.g. oven, washing machine), and have these sent to you direct.
We only give grants via cheque if all other options are unsuitable. You will not be asked to provide any bank account information as part of your application.
We only accept on-line application forms. You need to register to start your application. You can save your application at any stage and come back to it in order to finish the process.
