Sue has enjoyed a career in housing for over 30 years, holding management positions in neighbourhood and strategic roles for Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Charities. Sue is a former Director of Business Development for a National Older People’s charity and Chair of a Housing and Care Professionals’ Network in South East England.
Sue has been an independent consultant since 2008; she has a particular interest in retirement and supported living.
As a qualified Personal Development and Management Coach, Sue works within the housing and care sector, specialising in strategic business development, performance management, sales and marketing. Sue also works with individuals, helping them achieve personal and career goals.
Stuart has worked in housing for almost 30 years, with Executive Director experience across a range of areas, including supported housing, asset management and development. Stuart has a particular passion for housing and support and was a Board member and Chair of a mental health charity for 12 years. Stuart is currently a Board member of a Manchester-based registered housing provider and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and member of the Chartered Management Institute.
Liz has spent much of her career in Sales & Field Marketing, working for several international companies and latterly managing a pan European team of Sales Consultants on behalf of a major international hotel chain. In 2007 Liz joined the South & West Regional Committee at Jephson Housing Association subsequently Stonewater. As well as being a magistrate Liz is also an Independent member of the Standards Committee for her local Council assisting with complaints & compliance of the Councils code of conduct.
Ron spent his career as a strategic Finance Director in both the public and voluntary sectors - working for a number of housing associations and local government. His latter career included roles responsible for business management services, adult provider services, libraries and adult education. He has held Committee roles at Stonewater, and is currently a board member of a healthy living charity, and as a transport co-ordinator for an organisation providing out of hours support to the NHS. Ron has a degree in Public Administration from Manchester Polytechnic and has qualified as a Chartered Public Finance Accountant (CPFA).
Anne’s career has been mainly in the public sector, particularly local government. She has extensive experience of governance, organisational change and development, programme management and specialist knowledge of diversity, inclusion and human resources. She is a Lay Member of the Disciplinary Tribunal for the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and a board member of Stonewater housing association, where she chairs the Housing Committee.
Assistant Company Secretary
Anne Harling has over 20 years’ experience as a company secretary. After graduating (MA Natural Sciences), she worked in a number of roles at the Medical Research Council, during which she qualified with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and was awarded the Iddesleigh Prize. More recently she has gained an MSc in Corporate Governance and Leadership. She took up the post of Head of Governance and Assurance with Stonewater in October 2015 and was appointed as Longleigh’s secretary in January 2016.
After obtaining a BA in Politics and Law from the University of Kent, Whitney has worked in the housing and charity sectors for the past 5 years. She has volunteered with Results UK and FIRST Stop Bus, a local initiative aimed at reducing A&E admissions on Friday and Saturday nights.
Whitney is especially interested in international governance, sustainable tourism and perfecting her netball shooting skills. She is currently the Assistant Company Secretary of Stonewater Housing Association and is studying to become a Chartered Secretary.
